Sweet and tangy Thai sauce with tart tamarind and mellow fish sauce
Sweet Tamarind Sauce is all about our travels in the street food paradise that is Bangkok. From the flaming wok pad thai noodles to charred moo ping pork skewers and spicy and tart mango salads, our backpacker bellies have always been overindulged and bursting in Thailand! We layer cook tart tamarind and fish sauce to create the punchy flavour and mellow sweetness, making our Sweet Tamarind Sauce perfect for Pad Thai noodles, an excellent dressing for Yum Mamuang Shredded Mango Salad and as a Thai barbecue marinade and sticky glaze.
EASY USES:
Glaze - Brush 2 tbsp per portion onto wings, ribs & prawns to finish
Stir Fry - Toss 2-3 tbsp per portion with chicken/ pork & pineapple
Condiment - Mix 1 tbsp with 1 tbsp ketchup for fish finger sarnies & crispy calamari
