Malaysian sweet-spicy BBQ paste with chilli, lime and lemongrass

Panggang BBQ Paste evokes for us Teluk Tempoyak fishing village in Penang Island. It is there that we tasted the dish Ikan Bakar (Malaysian BBQ Fish), the founding inspiration for this flavour. Freshly caught fish smothered in a chilli sambal, wrapped in banana leaf and baked over charcoal fire – best enjoyed beside lapping waves against the seashore! Our Panggang BBQ Paste is a Malaysian sweet-spicy BBQ paste layer cooked with lime and lemongrass for that unique Penang flavour.

EASY USES:

BBQ - Top 2 tbsp per portion onto salmon, white fish & prawns to bbq/bake
Stir Fry - Toss 2 tbsp and 2tbsp coconut milk with chicken, pork or seafood
Broth - Heat 3 tbsp with 6tbsp coconut milk & 3 tbsp stock for coconut broth
