Smashed Cuban Angus Beef Burger
Get ready to cook
1. Form 20 equal sized meat balls. Using a spatula, press down to form 20 thin patties. Season with a little salt. Pan fry until cooked. Whilst hot, place cheese slices on 10 of the cooked patties to melt.
2. To assemble, spread the top and bottom sides of each bun with mayonnaise. To each bottom bun add salad, the beef patty with melted cheese, the second beef patty, sliced chorizo, 1 large tablespoon Cuban Chimichurri, gherkins and mustard.
3. Cover with top buns; press down and serve with fries.
200g Cuban Chimichurri
1.2kg Aberdeen Angus beef mince
10 brioche buns
Salad (e.g. lettuce leaf, tomato slice)
10 American cheese slices
30 pieces thin sliced chorizo
30 pieces crinkle cut gherkins
50g American mustard
